Under the guidance of the Women's Federation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Liuzhou (a city in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) has established 1,159 rights-protection-service teams, to help residents resolve marriage and family disputes, since July 2020. The teams' members, composed of lawyers, psychologists and cadres with Liuzhou Women's Federation, offer residents legal counseling, to help them improve their ability to protect their rights and interests. The members also offer residents advice on how to improve relations with family members, in part to promote social harmony and stability.
During the past year, the teams have set up centers and stations (in local people's tribunals and law firms) that provide services to protect women and children's rights and interests. The teams have also conducted, with judicial and administrative departments, and other organizations (in Liuzhou), various activities to improve residents' understanding of laws.
In addition, the teams have provided psychological counseling and other services to newlyweds and families with pregnant women, to help the families' members improve their relations.
